Under 10B 2 Marlborough A 3

After 2 weeks of being rained off, the extreme cold of Sunday morning didn't even register with the players. Not so sure about the supporters though. The game started with Drew, Aiden and Taylor making the first attack which also resulted in Josh taking the first corner of the game. . Marlborough took possession of the ball and attacked. The first shot went wide. The next attack across the goal beat Dylan. 1-0 Highbury fought back. Drew won and took a free kick which Marlboroughs goalkeeper deflected. Marlborough fought back, but good defensive play from Kieran and an exceptional deflection from Dylan saw off the first attack. Sadly the second attack made it through, leaving the half time score at 2-0 to Marlborough. Moments into the second half a Chandler corner set Daniel up for a shot which made it home and set the score at 2-1. Marlborough fought back, but strong defending from Callum and Megan kept most attacks away, Dylan managed a number of good saves and clearances. Eventually though Marlborough found it through. 3-1 to Marlborough. Highbury fought hard. Drew found a shot but it was deflected. Chandler had a shot but it was also deflected. Drew tried again and made it 3-2 just before full time. Final score 3-2
