Marshfield 5, Under 10B 5

Players: Aiden, Callum, Chandler, Daniel, Dylan, Drew, Josh, Kieran, Megan and Taylor.

Highbury started out strong, with a good run from Josh taking the ball straight into Marshfields goal area.

Under pressure from the attack, Marshfield knocked the ball out, allowing Josh to take his fist corner of the game. Drew, Meg and Chandler attacked but were unable to score.

Marshfield responded with a strong attack and scored.

Kieran and Taylor kept the pressure on Marshfield with multiple challenges and good tackles, helping to break through and allow Drew to score an equaliser

Marshfield attacked again, shot and missed. They attacked again, Dylan saved the first but the second got through making the score 2-1.

In the last few minutes before half time Josh completed one of his now trade marked run, taking the ball from Highbury defence to Marshfields goal area. Drew, Chandler, Taylor and Megan kept the pressure turned to high but they just couldn't break through.

Second half - Callum and Daniel started with a valiant attack and a good attempt at a goal. Daniel, Drew and Callum attempted again, but the shot bounced off the post.

Marshfield fought back, but their shot was easily saved by Dylan. Josh ran the ball back into Marshfield territory, but they managed to gain possession and take it back to Highburys goal. Their first shot was valiantly deflected by Dylan but in the struggle and confusion afterwards they managed to get a third goal.

Josh and Drew went on the attack and made it 3 -2. A lucky attack from Marshfield made it 4-2. Josh and Drew attacked again and made it 4-3

Callum and Drew attacked again but the shot went wide. Daniel recovered the ball for Highbury and helped Drew shoot again but this too went wide. Daniel attacked again but couldn't break through. Marshfield conceded a penalty, which allowed Drew equalise the score, now 4-4

Marshfield came straight back with 2 shots at Highbury's goal, but Dylan deflected and saved both of these without any difficulty. A further Marshfield attack did break through though making the score 5-4.

Highbury weren't giving up, even though you could see the entire team were very tired. Aiden took the game straight back to Marshfields goal area. Josh took the final corner of the game which Chandler turned into the final equaliser, making the score 5-5 with just moments of the game left to play.

Final score 5-5.
